Sidste år en henvendte arkitekterne Emma Koninckx og Cecilie Esper sig, vedrørende en ide til en landskabelig udvidelse af Moseløkken Stenbrudsmuseum. Ambitionen er at forbedre sammenhængs-kraften mellem museet og dets nabo; dramatiske Moseløkken Stenbrud. Dette foreslås gjort ved en arkitektonisk interessant vandrerute, kaldet “Stenbrudsruten” hvor principper og elementer fra stenbrydnings-industrien anvendes som rumlig museal formidling. F.eks. vil trappetrinene være af overskydende granit understøttet af de meterlange stål-bor fra bruddet. Fra ruten vil besøgende kunne relatere grundstenen i Danmarks byggede miljø direkte til materialekilden og industriens forarbejdning af denne. Herved opstår forhåbentligt en øget bevidsthed om materialeforbrug og en højnet værdsættelse af Moseløkken Stenbrud som vigtigt industrilevn.
Foreløbigt opføres en udstilling og prototype, som vil blive udstillet på Bornholm hele næste år for at indsamle viden om Bornholmernes holdning til ideen. Udstillingen åbner på det kommende Folkemøde og kan siden hen findes her på museet som en del af Verdenskongressen for Arkitektur. Herefter skal Moseløkken Stenbrudsmuseum, arkitekterne og bruddets andre brugere tage stilling til ideens mulige fremtid.

”Stenbrudsruten” is an architectural proposal to extend the existing Moseløkken Quarry Museum into the
dramatic landscape of Moseløkken Quarry, one of the last active quarries in Denmark. The proposal is thought up by architects Cecilie Esper and Emma Koninckx in collaboration with The Support Association of the Quarry Museum. Its main ambition is to improve the connection between museum and quarry through an adventurous hiking route, which exemplifies principles and elements from the mining industry through its construction. By doing so the project hopes to enable reflection on the greater impact of excavation and finite state of our building materials.
Currently an exhibition on and a prototype of the proposal are being put together. Both will be exhibited
throughout the coming year in order to gather feedback from possible future users. The exhibition will open at the democratic festival “Folkemødet” and can later be found here at the museum as part of programme of the World Congress of Architects.
The exhibition will be on display in the outdoor area in front of Moseløkken Quarry Museum from the 20th of June 2023 to the 29th of September 2023. It can be experienced during all of the light hours of the, but it is recommended to swing by during the opening hours of the museum.
